Ajuga 'Black Scallop' (Carpet Bugle) is a creeping perennial that produces short spikes of fragrant, deep-blue flowers. The foliage is near-black and very glossy, many people growing it for this very reason.

Its fast-growing nature and unique colour provide a lush contrast to other, brighter plants and reduce garden maintenance by compressing weeds and providing a softer feel when planted alongside paths and border edges.
